Moving in a different direction...

Our big girl, so eager to explore.

Our big girl, so eager to explore.

The thought hit me recently that I hadn’t blogged in a while. I hadn’t thought about writing here, and that’s not because we hadn’t gone anywhere exciting, but more because I have been trying to reconcile how we travel now (with two kids) versus how we used to travel (the two of us staying in hotels and having lazy mornings in - ha!) Using this blog is a lovely way to reminisce and keep track of places we’ve been. It’s especially lovely because about 70% of my photos are still semi- lost on a broken hard drive, so I’m grateful for the ones I have here.

All that to say, I’m bringing back the blog! Maybe adding in an email list? And this time, it’s gonna be more about traveling and living abroad with kids. I think because the kids are such a big part of my life these days, and I’ve been reluctant to really mention them on here and on my instagram because not everyone can relate to kids. Yet, we’re proof that having kids doesn’t have to limit your options when moving abroad. And they definitely travel with us (when we travel!). Their additions have made life more interesting, but they’ve also stretched us and forced us to travel and live differently that we would have otherwise. And I think it’s important that people travel with their kids (more on that later). :)

All that to say, there’s going to be more on here about what we’re seeing with the kids and what they think of it. And there will be more child-centric posts and that will tie into our lives here.

So, I hope you stay around a bit to see how we’re handling life here in Scotland!
