Six Month Anniversary

It's been six (!!!!) incredible months since I married my wonderful husband. Six. Months. I honestly don't know where the time has flown, but I do know we're both incredibly happy.

I've always hate the "almost kissing under a veil" pictures but I really like the lighting and our smiles in this one. Sigh. Also, my makeup will never again look that awesome.

We're learning a lot. I don't feel that I know a whole lot about being married just yet. I feel more comfortable talking about wedding planning than the actually being married. Marriage is such a learning curve.

Living with another person can be difficult. He might not always pick up his dirty laundry and he'll probably leave toothpaste in the sink. I also hate doing dishes and I'll let clean laundry sit in the dryer or in the laundry basket until I

absolutely

have to fold it (aka when I run out of clean clothes to wear.) All that dirty laundry (no pun intended) to say, we're not perfect and we're never going to be.

What I've learned though from six meager months of marriage?

Grace. Forgiveness. Love even though loving can be difficult. A kind word goes a long way. Always hug and kiss. Don't provoke to anger. Enjoy every second. Laugh at the little things. Help each other out. Smile. Prayer daily for my husband goes a long way. He likes my dinners even when they're awful (four words: chicken and rice casserole. Never again.). Hold hands. Cuddle. Do that laundry before he is forced to wear shorts in 40* weather. Spend time together even if it's just reading on the couch.

That list could keep going on and on. I'm fortunate to have married a patient man. We've never argued and I hope to keep that up for a loooooong time to come. He's also sacrificial, hardworking, and smart.

I got a keeper ;)

So, here's to six months and many more to come!
