Packing for Hawaii (Carry-on edition)
Confession: I am not a light packer. I'm trying to be, but I am simply not. I always grab something, assume a completely unlikely scenario where I may need said item, so I pack it. My carry on is inevitably chock full of items that I probably won't need but "just in case."
This trip though, I'm changing that. I'm packing light. I've made my list, I've checked it twice. The bare essentials and then some.
This is my carryon. All the basics: camera, iPad, computer, chapstick, and book plus some essentials like wet wipes (to wipe down my seat), Tylenol, lotion, and earbuds. My dopp bag has my basic make-up inside: bb cream, bronzer, mascara, and eyeliner, plus my toothbrush and toothpaste.
Not pictured: a scarf, my phone, wallet, and various chargers. I find that packing chargers is such a pain. I think before my next trip I will buy something like
or
. Also, I'll have a change of clothes but those will end up in my husband's bag. ;)
There it is, folks. Fingers crossed this pared down bag will contain everything that I need for an 11 hour flight to Hawaii. What are your must packs for your carry-on?
